Book of Sunshine Course just started!!

Our "Uncle Festers Family and Friends" interactive community space is now open - and we are still doing the happy dance!!

Although only the start there are already plenty of interesting and original articles to browse (and heaps more to come), our new topic of the week to get stuck into is Health and Healing; and we have chat rooms waiting for each Element to feel at home in; There is an expanded version of the first week of our popular wicca course, as a refresher; and know you can now meet and interact with us and the other members and students. I wrote last week about creating a Book of Sunshine as part of my magickal practice. A Book of Sunshine is what I call a small 16 page book I look at most days. It is the opposite of a Book of Shadows - where you write down things you learn, to refer to, in case you forget, and record past moments etc. A Book of Sunshine contains your current magickal thinking, things to review on a regular basis and maps out a path to the future, the name also reflects how uplifting and positive it is.

I'm currently sharing the complete process I used to create my book - and as a group, share ideas, and ultimately each create our own personalized versions. This "interactive course" will be in the Uncle Festers Friends of the Family Group and consist of short segments that will only take 10-20 minutes a day - and that you can progress through at your own pace. Shop Chat - Black Moons

Tomorrow in the Southern Hemisphere (9.30 AEST) we will have a Black Moon (the Northern Hemisphere had one last month due to timing differences). Just as one definition of a Blue Moon is the second full moon in a calendar month - a Black Moon is the second new moon in a calendar month. One magickal interpretation of a Black Moon might be that it highlights the energies of the new moon in a special way - so an extra boost for finishing up tasks that need to be completed to free up energies for new projects that can grow during the waxing moon that starts on Friday. It might also be a reminder to re/start some moon magick if you have not done so already.

I have the vague idea I started these newsletters 15? years ago on a black moon, as I remember commenting on something similar at the time.

Anyone else have ideas on black moons - (or want to make up something interesting)?
